Damage inspection<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Car repairs always start with a damage inspection. During the damage inspection, the damage to the car is photographed and the workshop foreman makes an estimate of the cost of the repair to the insurance company. A thorough damage inspection ensures that the duration and cost of the repair are within the estimated range. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A repair time will be agreed during the damage inspection. The workshop foreman will order the necessary spare parts to be ready for the repair. During the damage inspection, a so-called emergency repair can also be carried out to keep the car roadworthy until the repair. First aid repairs are free of charge when the car is repaired by InCar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can easily book an appointment for a damage inspection either by calling customer service<\/a> or the workshop, via our online service<\/a> or, for minor damage, you can also carry out the inspection electronically using the InCar camera.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Handing over the car for repair<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Once the customer has handed over their vehicle to the workshop, the foreman assigns the job to a bodyworker or a more experienced master mechanic. The bodyworker always starts with a wash to make the damage more visible. The damaged parts of the car are then dismantled to repair any hidden damage. If further damage is found, the foreman will inform the insurance company. After these procedures, the actual repair of the car begins. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quality control<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In the car repair process, the quality of the work carried out at each stage is always ensured by the people who carry out the work at the previous stage. This ensures that the repair is not delayed due to late detection of defects. At the end of the process, the supervisor goes through the repair with the customer, so that the quality of the work is also approved by the customer. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

The damage is reported by the person who caused the damage to their own insurance company. In the case of a comprehensive accident, the damage report is made to the insurance company of your own vehicle.

The purpose of a notice of claim is to inform the insurance company of the incident and at the same time provide the details of the parties involved and request a decision from the insurance company on compensation.

The claim is usually made on the insurance company’s own website. You can also make a claim by phone, for example. The insurance company will then process the claim and may issue the customer with a claim number and a compensation decision.

The claim decision will say that the damage is covered, but only after the repair visit will we ask the insurance company for permission to repair the car. At the time of the damage inspection, we at InCar Workshop submit a repair estimate to the insurance company for consideration. Once the insurance company has approved the repair estimate, we will contact you and start the repair process with you.

The damage inspection can be carried out electronically on the basis of photographs, or by a professional in a workshop.

Damage inspection at the workshop<\/strong>
Vehicle repair always starts with a damage inspection at the workshop. The damage inspection is carried out together with you in the workshop yard, or inside if necessary. During the damage inspection, the damage to the vehicle is described and the workshop foreman will provide the insurance company with an estimate of the cost of the repair. A thoroughly carried out damage inspection will ensure that the duration and cost of the repair remain within the estimated range. During the damage inspection, a repair time is agreed. The workshop foreman orders the necessary spare parts to be ready for the repair.

You should allow about 30-45 minutes for the damage inspection. Please note that the time needed for the foreman to inspect the damage will vary depending on the damage. You do not have to leave your vehicle at the workshop, but you can have it back if it is roadworthy.

A damage check with InCar is free of charge.

Electronic damage check<\/strong>
Electronic damage inspection means a damage check based on the pictures you take with your mobile phone. You can avoid a visit to the workshop by sending pictures of the damage on your mobile phone. An electronic damage check is ideal for small parking lot accidents, for example.

Attach the photos you have taken to the photo service<\/a> on our website, and after sending you will receive an SMS message from us that the transmission was successful. The photos will be sent directly to the workshop of your choice in the photo service, where we will check the photos you have sent.

If necessary, we will contact you by phone for further information, and if everything is in order, we will contact you to arrange a repair date.

Replacement car for repair<\/strong>
The rental costs of a replacement car can be reimbursed by the motor insurance if the need for a replacement car is deemed justified, for example, for professional reasons. Check with your insurance company to see if your insurance covers a replacement car. Agree on the need for a courtesy car at the garage when you have your claim checked. The substitute car can be made available for the duration of the repair, not yet at the time of the accident.

You will receive a provisional repair date at the time of the damage inspection. We will provide your insurance company with an estimate of the repair costs and once the repair cost decision has been approved, we will be ready to take your vehicle in for repair.
